Keeping the public safe: managing dangerous offenders in the community

Reports describing the work of two partnerships which manage the most dangerous offenders in Norfolk and Suffolk have just been published.

The Multi Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA) is a partnership led by probation, police and prisons with the help of other organisations including mental health, housing and social services.

High risk offenders, including sex and violent offenders, are managed closely by the partnership, through regular meetings where information about offenders is shared.

Separate MAPPA exist in Norfolk and Suffolk.
